Mark Gaskill - President, CEO & Chief Investment Officer -
Mark has been in the securities business since 1977, working for both regional and large Wall Street firms. He is also a Registered Principal of MKG Financial Group and President of its affiliate, MKG Capital Advisors. As key economic and market strategist for the firm, Mark manages portfolios for the firms' Private Client Group and profit sharing plans. Mark is the founder of the Northwest Investors Conference, the host of The MKG Financial Hour radio show, and he frequently speaks at regional investment workshops. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Mark received a degree in Finance and Economics. He lives in Portland, Oregon and enjoys aiding individuals and families in attaining and sustaining financial well-being.
Robert Davies, CFP - Financial Operations Principal -
Bob has been involved with the securities industry since 1969. A former NASD Examiner, he later accepted a position as Vice President of Administration for a Portland based broker-dealer. More recently, he has worked as a consultant for many broker-dealers in the areas of compliance, administration and member applications. For many years, he was involved in the training of Registered Representatives and Principals for the securities industry. He is a former member of The Financial Planning Association in the Oregon-Southwest Washington chapter. Bob currently serves MKG Financial Group as its Financial and Operations Principal.
Research and Portfolio Management
Julie Bryan, CFA- Vice President, Director, Research and Portfolio Management -
Julie has worked in the investment business for over 25 years. Prior to joining MKG Financial Group, Julie researched specialty retail companies for institutional investors at Jennifer Black & Associates. Prior to that, she served as a portfolio manager on the large cap investment team at The Crabbe Huson Group. Julie managed high net worth individual accounts at the firm and oversaw the firm’s Latin American equity portfolio. Julie began her career at S.G. Warburg in San Francisco and New York as an equity research analyst for the forest products industry. She received her BA in International Relations from Stanford University and her MBA from Marylhurst University. She has studied and worked in Berlin, Germany and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.Client Services
Theodore Fowler - Vice President, Private Client Services-
Located in Bend, Oregon, Ted specializes in retirement planning and investment management services. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Wisconsin. With over 30 years experience in the financial services industry as a financial advisor and a branch manager, Ted specializes in financial planning for individual and institutional clients. Before joining MKG, he was a Branch Manager for Morgan Stanley in Bend. He started his career as an Account Executive with Merrill Lynch and later worked as V.P. with Dean Witter Reynolds.
Operations
Tom Biesiadecki - VP Operations, Chief Compliance Officer -
Tom has been active in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has specialized in the formalization of compliance and operations functions at entrepreneurial firms. Prior to joining MKG Financial, Tom was the President, CCO and Chief Operations Officer for a start-up broker-dealer specializing in the private placement of real estate securities. Tom also brings a broad range of experience in all aspects of investment advisor and broker-dealer compliance, operations and audit functions.
Scott Thayer - Director of Operations & Information Services-
Scott has been active in the financial services/securities industries since 1987. He worked as a mutual fund accountant and a securities representative at Saturna Capital. Scott later worked for nine years managing the investment operations for the Crabbe Huson Group, an established money management firm based in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining MKG Financial Group, Scott served as the Managing Director of his own registered investment advisory firm. Scott received his BA from Washington State University.
Paula Marlin - Executive Administrative Assistant -
Paula Marlin has served in an office manager and administrative capacity for the past fifteen years and has supported executive staff in various fields, including financial services, sales and professional and continuing education. Previously, Paula served as the office manager and bookkeeper for Northwest Trainers and Professional Training Institute, agencies training students for securities, insurance licenses and industry specific continuing education. She also worked as office manager, scheduler, and marketer for Amerist.
